Beach Bunny

Born in Chicago's independent scene, Beach Bunny initially developed as the solo project of singer‑guitarist Lili Trifilio in the mid‑2010s, between home‑recorded demos and early local shows. After several self‑released EPs, including Animalism (2015), Pool Party (2016) and Crybaby (2017), Beach Bunny took on a more consistent band form with the arrival of regular musicians, which strengthened an indie rock and power pop direction fueled by pop punk, surf pop and emo elements. The release of the EP Prom Queen in 2018, marked by lyrics focused on self‑image and romantic relationships, pushed the project to a wider audience via digital platforms. Beach Bunny followed with the album Honeymoon in 2020 and the EP Blame Game in 2021, before asserting a side richer in indie‑pop textures on Emotional Creature in 2022. Beach Bunny's tours then expanded from Chicago’s small venues to club and festival circuits across North America and Europe, where the band performed a straightforward, melodic repertoire carried by songwriting that mixes electric energy and everyday vulnerabilities.
