Gabber Eleganza

Born in Italy, Gabber Eleganza has been developing since the 2010s a project at the intersection of DJing, publishing, visual research and club culture. Initially conceived as a digital archive dedicated to hardcore, gabber and post‑rave aesthetics, Gabber Eleganza gradually expanded into publications, installations, performances and art direction that link the history of rave countercultures to contemporary contexts. In DJ sets, Gabber Eleganza moves across multiple branches of rave music with a firm grounding in hardcore and its offshoots, while also paying attention to broken textures, fast tempos and hybrid forms emerging from the European club scene. He also runs the label Never Sleep, used as an extension of this curatorial approach. His practice has taken him to clubs and international festivals as well as to collaborations with artists and makers from other fields, including Mark Leckey and photographer Ewen Spencer, and to projects connected with fashion and imagery.
