Sully

Rooted in the British electronic scene, producer Jack Stevens, known as Sully, emerged in the late 2000s around dubstep, 2‑step and UK garage. First noticed through a series of maxi singles on various independent labels, Sully later joined the Keysound Recordings catalogue, where the album Carrier was released in 2011, noted for a precise approach to deconstructed rhythms and urban atmospheres. He followed in 2013 with Blue, a longer, more introspective record that highlights the melodic side of his productions while retaining a strong rhythmic drive. Over the years Sully has steered his writing toward forms close to jungle and footwork, experimenting with tempo accelerations, fragmented breakbeats and echoes of British rave culture. Active as both DJ and producer, and often associated with London’s bass music networks, Sully alternates vinyl and digital releases, moves between specialised labels and club scenes, and has developed a recognisable sound through atmospheric textures, shifting basslines and a highly detailed construction of percussion.
