JASSS
Born in Spain and based in Berlin, JASSS has been developing a practice since the mid-2010s as a producer, DJ and live performer at the crossroads of bass music, percussion and experimental electronics. Her productions move between industrial textures, techno pulses, broken rhythms and more diffuse melodic lines, with a marked taste for the friction between physical tension and darker atmospheres, also revealing influences from shoegaze, grunge and trip-hop. After several releases on labels such as Mannequin Records and iDEAL, JASSS released the album Weightless in 2017 and A World of Service in 2021 on Ostgut Ton, confirming a compositional approach that refuses rigid boundaries between club music, abstraction and theatre/theatrical music. Alongside releases on AD 93, Never Sleep and other outlets, JASSS has established herself on club and festival stages with cross-genre DJ sets and was a resident of the Berlin collective Herrensauna. In 2025 JASSS opens a new cycle with AWOS, conceived as a framework for her solo work, collaborations and projects with shifting identities.
