Themba

Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, THEMBA emerged on the international electronic scene from 2018 with a sound that sits between afro‑house, melodic house and techno, where percussion, soul vocals and hypnotic progressions are central. Sometimes credited as Themba SA on certain platforms, Themba crafts music intended for the club but clearly nourished by African references, without confining himself to a strictly underground format. His trajectory includes collaborations and remixes for or with JACK BACK (the alias of David Guetta), Nico de Andrea, Tasan, Hannah Wants, Franky Wah, DJ Chus and Vintage Culture, as well as a cover of Bob Sinclar’s "World Hold On." Among his identifiable releases, "Disappear" appeared in 2022 with Nico de Andrea and Tasan. Alongside his productions, Themba has performed in varied contexts across Europe and beyond, with stops in Paris, Ibiza, London, Madrid, New York and Denver, and appearances alongside artists such as Black Coffee, Peggy Gou and Dubfire.
