David Vunk

Born and active in Rotterdam, David Vunk has developed since the 1990s a career as a DJ and producer rooted in club music, at the intersection of electro, acid, techno and Italo disco. He built his profile on the Dutch scene with a direct approach to the dancefloor, characterized by taut rhythms, rough basslines and acidic synths, without confining himself to a single register. Alongside his sets, David Vunk founded Moustache Records in 2007 and the sub-label Moustache Techno in 2011, two outlets that extend his taste for raw, funky electronic aesthetics. His discography spans personal productions and releases on other labels, often in a club-oriented format rather than full-length albums. On stage, David Vunk has moved between European festivals and clubs, with notable appearances in varied contexts such as Dekmantel, Lowlands, Lab.oratory and Panorama Bar, where his sense of mixing links electro, techno, acid and disco into dynamic, nervy selections.
