Alden Tyrell

Based in Rotterdam, Alden Tyrell has been developing electronic music since the late 1990s rooted in electro, italo, acid and certain forms of machine‑oriented house, with a marked taste for robotic basslines, dense synth pads and arpeggiated sequences. He emerged at the turn of the 1990s and 2000s with productions such as Love Explosion (1999), and has since built a career closely associated with the Dutch labels Clone and Viewlexx, at the crossroads of Detroit and Chicago legacies and the European scene. His name circulates in the same landscape as artists like I‑F and Legowelt, and his discography also includes collaborations with Egyptian Lover. On stage Alden Tyrell presents both DJ sets and live performances, in clubs and festivals across Europe and the United States, with an approach that translates his studio work into a live context. Alongside his own releases he undertakes mastering work for Clone Records and other labels, situating his activity within a wider sphere of electronic sound production.
