Youv Dee

Having passed through the Parisian collective L'Ordre du Périph, Youv Dee has been building since the late 2010s a solo trajectory that blends French rap, rock energy and persistent references to Japanese pop culture. A French songwriter and rapper, Youv Dee first drew attention with several personal projects before releasing in 2021 La vie de luxe, his first solo album, where his writing alternates rapped tracks, more melodic passages and imagery inspired by manga, video games and an urban imagination strongly marked by Paris. For Youv Dee these influences are not merely decoration: they structure a hybrid aesthetic, between trap, sung choruses and a taste for shifts in tone. This mix, already perceptible within L'Ordre du Périph, takes a more personal form in his solo work. In 2023 Youv Dee announced Pas d'accord!, a new album then scheduled for 2024, confirming the continuity of a universe where rap, rock and geek culture intersect without a clear separation.
