Lyre Le Temps

From Strasbourg, Lyre Le Temps blends 1920s–1940s swing, hip‑hop and electronic music in a project led by producer and MC Ry’m, supported by musicians who extend in concert the collage and scratching work begun in the studio. The group first made its mark online in the late 2000s with an electro‑swing aesthetic defined by the use of vintage vocal samples, rap rhythms and big‑band‑style arrangements. Lyre Le Temps’s discography opens in 2010 with the album Lady Swing, followed by Outside The Box (2012), Prohibition Swing (2016), Clock Master (2018) and Swing Resistance (2020), each record refining the mix of jazz orchestrations, rapped flows and electronic programming. On stage, Lyre Le Temps adopts a hybrid setup where turntables, vocals and acoustic instruments revolve around a sound focused on groove, hip‑hop breaks and sung choruses. Regularly appearing on French and European contemporary music stages and at mainstream festivals, Lyre Le Temps pursues a trajectory in which swing culture serves as the foundation for a contemporary reinterpretation rooted in rap, pop and club culture.
