Willie Peyote

Born in Turin in 1985 as Guglielmo Bruno and raised in Leinì, Willie Peyote has, since the mid-2000s, forged a career that sits between alternative hip‑hop, conscious rap and Italian songwriting, marked by an often ironic writing style and a steady focus on social and political issues. After early involvement with the collective S.O.S. Clique and a stint alongside the Funk Shui Project, he emerged with the EP trilogy Manuale del giovane nichilista, released between 2011 and 2012, and released his debut album Non è il mio genere, il genere umano in 2013. His discography continued with Educazione sabauda (2015), Sindrome di Tôret (2017), Iodegradabile (2019) and Pornostalgia (2022), records in which his spoken delivery, melodic hooks and arrangements steeped in funk, rock and jazz‑funk increasingly come to the fore. Willie Peyote has also collaborated with Subsonica, Don Joe, Shaggy, Ditonellapiaga and Tiromancino. Alongside touring Italy’s stages, he took part in the Sanremo Festival in 2021 with “Mai dire mai (la locura)” and again in 2025 with “Grazie ma no grazie”. In 2024 he opened a new chapter with Sulla riva del fiume, first issued as an EP and later expanded into an album in 2025.
