Frah Quintale

Born in Brescia in 1989 as Francesco Servidei, Frah Quintale first made his mark in the local hip‑hop scene before forming the duo Fratelli Quintale with Mr. Merio in 2006. That initial setting placed him within Italy’s independent rap, combining everyday writing, urban references and already very melodic choruses, with the albums One Hundred (2012) and All You Can Eat (2013). At the same time he launched a solo project with the EP Idiot savant in 2012, followed by 2004 in 2016 on the Undamento label, where his style moved away from frontal rap toward a vaporous pop, relaxed rhythms and an almost spoken singing approach. With Regardez moi in 2017, Frah Quintale established a looser aesthetic at the intersection of rap, chanson and indie pop, centered on intimate, urban tracks. He followed with Lungolinea in 2018 and the diptych Banzai (Lato blu) in 2020 and Banzai (Lato arancio) in 2021. On stage he has moved between clubs, festivals and major Italian dates, while multiplying targeted collaborations—most notably with Giorgio Poi on ‘Missili’ in 2018—which extend this seemingly light but rhythmically and melodically well‑constructed songwriting.
