Victor Calderone

Born in Brooklyn, Victor Calderone emerged on the 1990s New York scene with club house that gradually hardened into a blend of tribal house, progressive house and tight-percussion techno. An American DJ and producer, Calderone was formed in New York’s major clubs, where he refined long, physical sets built around rising tension. His work as a remixer quickly brought him into pop and international dance, notably through his collaborations with Madonna, with whom he also worked in the studio in the early 2000s. Over the years Calderone has evolved his language toward a darker, denser sound without losing the house grounding of his beginnings: heavy rhythmic lines, fragmented vocals, slow progression and a strong sense of dynamic relief on the dancefloor. Present both in house circuits and on more techno-oriented stages, Victor Calderone remains associated with a direct, tense club aesthetic deeply tied to New York’s nocturnal culture.
