Two Feet

Under the name Two Feet, New York musician Bill Dess has, since the mid-2010s, been crafting a sound at the crossroads of downtempo electro, trip-hop, and a stripped-down blues driven by a prominent guitar. Two Feet drew attention in 2016 with the track "Go Fuck Yourself," followed by the EP First Steps (2016), which established a world of heavy basslines, slow rhythms, and almost whispered vocals. The 2017 EP Momentum extended this dark, minimalist aesthetic, while Two Feet multiplied club and festival shows in the United States and then Europe, developing a live format centered on guitar playing and an intimate staging. His first full-length album, Pink, released in 2020, confirmed a songwriting approach built on simple structures, repetitive motifs, and a blend of electronic songcraft and alternative pop. Two Feet continued with Max Maco Is Dead Right? in 2021, a concept record revolving around a fictional alter ego, then Shape & Form in 2022, where the tracks open further toward pop and brighter electronic textures while retaining the melancholy that runs through his entire discography.
