Vincent Niclo

French singer and actor born in Paris in 1975, Vincent Niclo first developed his vocal and stage work in theatre and musical theatre before turning to a solo recording career. Working in the classical crossover vein, Vincent Niclo moves between lyrical pop, French chanson/variety and repertoire inspired by opera, singing in French but also in Italian, Spanish and English. His trajectory took on a new dimension with the 2012 album Opéra Rouge, recorded with the Red Army Choir, which firmly established this blend of classical singing and orchestral pop arrangements. He followed with Luis in 2013, a tribute to Luis Mariano featuring songs from the chanson and operetta traditions, then Ce que je suis in 2014 and 5.0 in 2016, where the pop orientation is strengthened while keeping vocal writing close to the lyrical repertoire. Regularly appearing on France’s major stages and on televised concerts, Vincent Niclo alternates tours, collaborations with orchestras and vocal ensembles, and releases of themed albums around film music, Latin influences or Christmas repertoire.
