The Raven Age

Formed in London in 2009 around guitarists George Harris and Dan Wright, The Raven Age sits in a metal repertoire that crosses alternative metal, groove metal and melodic metalcore, with guitar-centered songwriting, clear choruses and a modern production. The band first established itself with its self-titled debut EP released in 2014, then went on tours as a supporting act for outfits such as British Lion, Tremonti, Anthrax, Killswitch Engage and Iron Maiden, a circuit that quickly placed The Raven Age on the British and European rock and metal stages. After several lineup changes, the outfit continues with Matt James on vocals, alongside George Harris, Matt Cox, Jai Patel and, more recently, Tommy Gentry. The Raven Age released Darkness Will Rise in 2017, then Conspiracy in 2019, followed by Exile in 2021 and Blood Omen in 2023. Across these records, the band refines a sound where rhythmic tension, catchy melodies, heavy accents and contemporary metal influences mingle, in a format designed as much for the live stage as for structured and direct tracks.
