Sweely

Coming from a Franco‑American background, Sweely has, since the mid‑2010s, been carving out a distinctive path in electronic music. His writing moves between house and electro while remaining shaped by broader influences — from hip‑hop to jazz, from rock’n’roll to world music. A producer and musician drawn to multiple instruments, notably percussion, keyboards and guitar, Sweely develops a mobile, rhythmic and precise sound in which groove occupies a central place without excluding rawer textures or melodic passages. His first discographic landmarks appear on labels such as Distant Hawaii, Lobster Theremin and Concrete Music — stages where Sweely asserts a clear but never fixed club identity. Alongside his studio releases, he has also attracted attention for his live formats, conceived as a continuation of DJing but with a more organic approach to rhythmic construction. This stage practice notably led to a residency at the Concrete club in Paris, a setting consistent with music designed for movement, duration and shifts in texture.
