Scot Project

Born in Frankfurt in 1973 as Frank Zenker, Scot Project has been part of the German electronic scene since the early 1990s, operating between hard trance, tech trance and techno. Active early on as a DJ in Frankfurt clubs and the surrounding area, he developed a tense, fast and melodic sound built on acid trance sequences, dry rhythms and an energy tougher than the mainstream trance of the same period. His discography took shape in the mid-1990s with tracks such as X (1994), U (I Got A Feeling) (1995) and Y (How Deep Is Your Love) (1998), followed by O-Overdrive in 2001, a track often associated with his sonic identity. Alongside Scot Project, Frank Zenker has also released under several aliases, including Arome and TOCS. In 2002 he launched the Druck Records label with Kai Winter, also known as Derb, continuing the German hard trance tradition. The album A1 was released in 2005 on Overdose. Over the years Scot Project has remained connected to the club and festival circuits dedicated to the more direct and darker forms of European trance.
