Rob Gee

Born in New Jersey in 1971, Rob Gee, also credited under the name Robert Gillmore, initially builds a path spanning hip hop, punk and metal before establishing himself in the 1990s electronic hardcore scene. Active since 1994, he is among the American producers associated with gabber and hardcore techno, with an approach that blends fast rhythms, raw energy, vocal samples and acknowledged references to extreme music. Rob Gee appears on several labels linked to international hardcore, including Industrial Strength, Mokum, Rotterdam Records, ID&T or Masters of Hardcore, and moves between American and Dutch scenes, where his name becomes permanently established. His discography includes notably the album Cow Tipping in 1997 with Rob Gee and The Natas, then The Great American Melting in 2009, as well as numerous maxis and singles such as Gabber Up Your Ass (1994), Sex, Drugs and Gabba House with Ralph Gee (1996), Fight For Your Right (1997), Jersey Guido (1999) or Adrenalize (2006). Over the years, Rob Gee has also pushed further the crossing between hardcore, live performance, singing and punk-metal aesthetics, an evolution that has marked some of his appearances at major events like Thunderdome, Sensation Black or Masters of Hardcore.
