Rebekah

Active on the techno scene since the late 1990s, Rebekah has developed her career between Birmingham, where she grew up, and Berlin, where she later settled to deepen her work as a producer and DJ. Initially drawn to the hardest electronic sounds of the British scene, she forged her identity in Birmingham clubs around local techno nights before fully committing to a dark, industrial and repetitive aesthetic. Her style blends percussive rhythms, abrasive textures and oppressive atmospheres, with particular attention to long tension builds in her DJ sets. In the studio Rebekah has released a series of EPs and maxis on labels such as CLR and Soma Records, the latter issuing her album Fear Paralysis in 2017 and cementing her place within a strain of techno oriented toward dense atmospheres and industrial backdrops. Through her Elements project, presented as both a label and events series, Rebekah explores even more radical forms of techno, bringing together an international scene that shares her taste for fast tempos and raw textures, while maintaining a strong link to Birmingham’s techno heritage and the specialized European clubs where she regularly performs.
