NoMBe

Raised between Heidelberg, Germany and the United States before settling in Los Angeles, NoMBe, aka Noah McBeth, moves between psychedelic soul, alternative R&B, indie pop and electronic influences. Grandson of a conductor and godson of Chaka Khan, he turned early to songwriting and production, releasing from the mid‑2010s a string of online tracks that gradually drew attention for a sound that is both intimate and rhythmically driven. His songs often rely on prominent guitars, supple bass lines and layered vocal textures, creating an aesthetic somewhere between nocturnal balladry, slow‑burn groove and pop energy. In 2018 he issued the album “They Might’ve Even Loved Me”, which compiled several tracks unveiled in preceding months and established NoMBe on the international alternative scene. The record “CHROMATOPIA”, released in 2021, pushed further the balance between pop songwriting, rock influences and electronic arrangements, adopting a more introspective tone. In studio as on stage, NoMBe moves between song forms, atmospheric soundscapes and hip‑hop‑influenced rhythms, and over the years has pursued a number of occasional collaborations, notably with rapper Thutmose.
