Nicholas Krgovich

Active since the early 2000s on Vancouver’s independent scene in Canada, Nicholas Krgovich first played in P:ano and then No Kids, before leading several parallel group projects, including Gigi, and pursuing a solo career. His work sits at the crossroads of indie pop, chamber pop, sophisti-pop and a very restrained singer‑songwriter approach, with supple melodies, often hushed vocals and arrangements that give significant space to harmonies and textures. Over the course of his records released under his own name, Krgovich has shifted this language toward a sparer form, sometimes touched by soft rock, jazz-pop or ambient hues. He also collaborates with saxophonist and composer Joseph Shabason and moves between pop and experimental scenes in Canada and the United States.
