Lost in Kiev
Formed in Paris in 2007, Lost in Kiev, renamed Lost in Kyiv in 2026, develops instrumental post-rock at the crossroads of post-metal and atmospheric music, with long, tense and cinematic compositions where guitars, electronic textures and rhythmic build-ups occupy a central place. The group first drew attention with the single Hope, Fights & Disillusions in 2010, followed by the album Motions in 2012, conceived as a narrative soundtrack. Lost in Kiev then expands its live activity in France and Europe, with a first tour in 2013 and several appearances at Dunk!Festival in Belgium, an important rendezvous on the post-rock scene. On Nuit noire in 2016, the sound densifies and darkens, while increasingly incorporating electronic elements. Persona, released in 2019, continues this evolution with a focus on themes related to technology and contemporary alienation. In 2022, Rupture confirms this orientation with a more direct writing, nourished by social and ecological fractures, and includes a collaboration with Loïc Rossetti of The Ocean on Prison of Mind. Over the years, Lost in Kyiv has shared the bill with bands such as Ef, Enslaved, Maserati, The Ocean or This Will Destroy You, in a trajectory anchored in European instrumental and alternative rock scenes.
