Lindsey Webster
Born in Woodstock, New York, in 1988, Lindsey Webster has developed a repertoire at the crossroads of smooth jazz, R&B, soul and pop, featuring a supple, melodic voice supported by mellow arrangements. First trained on cello in childhood and later on vocals at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School in New York, she began her recording career in the early 2010s with the album Lindsey Webster (2013), followed by You Change (2015), Back to Your Heart (2016), Love Inside (2018), A Woman Like Me (2020) and Reasons (2022). Her trajectory is part of the American contemporary and smooth jazz scene, where she champions a vocal approach in a format often dominated by instrumentalists. In 2016 the track “Fool Me Once” reached number one on Billboard’s Smooth Jazz Airplay chart, a notable milestone for a singer in this genre. Across her releases, Lindsey Webster has also worked with musicians such as Rick Braun, Brian Culbertson, Randy Brecker, Nicholas Payton and Nathan East, while maintaining a consistent aesthetic of understated grooves, pop‑jazz songwriting and soul inflections.
