Lauren Babic
Active from the Toronto scene, Canadian singer-songwriter Lauren Babic has built a career spanning modern metal, post-hardcore, metalcore, hard rock and alternative pop, powered by a voice capable of moving from melodic singing to harsher techniques. Lauren Babic began singing with Red Handed Denial as a teenager, then quickly expanded her activity by releasing covers on YouTube from 2011, a format that has sustained her online visibility. In parallel with Red Handed Denial, she contributed to the international project CrazyEightyEight, co-founded in 2017 with Jarrod Alonge, as well as to the band Skylimit, placing her work across multiple configurations from technical metal to more direct hard rock. Her repertoire also includes solo releases, with songwriting that opens up to pop and more stripped-back productions. Over the years, Lauren Babic has multiplied collaborations within the rock, metal and electronic scenes, and has also contributed to video games by co-writing and performing "Zeri, The Spark of Zaun" for League of Legends and by singing "Dead Man Walking" for the Remnant II trailer. On stage, Lauren Babic performs across North America, the UK and Europe, both solo and with Red Handed Denial.
