Kurd Maverick

Rooted in the Düsseldorf scene, German DJ and producer Kurd Maverick has developed since the early 2000s a house palette that sits between electro house and tech house. His tracks favour punchy rhythms, dry basses, vocal accents and writing conceived for the club, with a gradual shift from an electro-tinged house towards more percussive formats. Kurd Maverick made his name with a string of maxis and remixes released on labels such as Ministry of Sound, Spinnin’, Armada and Toolroom, while maintaining a regular presence as a DJ on the international circuit. His sets have taken him from the German scene to Ibiza, as well as to dates in Brazil and Dubai. Among his recent releases is the single “Dancing To”, released in 2020 on Toolroom. Between production and DJ sets, Kurd Maverick remains linked to a direct, mix-ready house firmly embedded in club usage.
