King No-One
Formed in York, King No-One brings together Zach Lount, Joseph Martin and Robert Gration in a tight three-piece lineup, delivering British indie rock that blends bright guitars, straightforward rhythms and introspective songwriting. On the British indie scene the band has developed a sound that is both direct and melodic, where alternative energy remains tied to very personal lyrics about identity, a sense of misalignment and the way of absorbing others’ emotions. Zach Lount’s voice, at the heart of the project, carries this autobiographical thread without artifice, while the group fashions nervy yet accessible songs that favour tension and storytelling over effects. That approach runs through tracks such as Transgressions, Turkey Dinosaurs and The Burden of Empathy, which herald The Burden of Empathy, King No-One’s debut album due in 2026. Between indie rock, alternative pop and a live intensity shaped by the UK venue circuit, King No-One advance with a concise, emotional aesthetic grounded in lived experience.
