Lorenzo Senni

Born in 1983 in Cesena, in Emilia-Romagna, Lorenzo Senni has since the late 2000s developed a body of work located between electronic music and experimentation, with an approach centered on forms, crescendos and the motifs of 1990s trance rather than its function as club music. Founder of the label Presto!? Records, Lorenzo Senni released Early Works in 2008, then Dunno in 2010, before elaborating this aesthetic on Quantum Jelly in 2012 and Superimpositions in 2014, albums where melodic sequences, harmonic tensions and repetitive structures are isolated, stretched and reconfigured in a more conceptual framework. His arrival at Warp materializes with the EP Persona in 2016, followed by The Challenge in 2018 with Francesco Fantini, then the album Scacco Matto in 2020. Also active as a visual artist, Lorenzo Senni moves on stages that intersect electronic music, contemporary art and experimental festivals, with a sound language immediately identifiable, made of incisive arpeggios, suspended crescendos and a writing that diverts the codes of rave euphoria toward a more analytical listening.
