Hard GZ

Active since the mid-2010s, Hard GZ has made a name for himself on the Spanish rap scene, originating from Galicia, with an identity closely tied to his social and territorial context. The Hard GZ project is built around direct, narrative Spanish rap that mixes neighborhood chronicles, political stances and introspective passages about precarity, addiction and loyalty. First noticed through videos and tracks released online, Hard GZ gradually developed a dense discography of singles, EPs and albums, largely self-released before being picked up by more established outfits. Musically, Hard GZ moves between boom-bap–inspired hip-hop at slow tempos and productions closer to trap, featuring dark instrumentals, melancholic melodic layers and frequent use of sung hooks. Collaborations with other rappers from Spain’s new generation reinforce the image of a collective project around Hard GZ, balancing a crew spirit with a clear solo trajectory. On stage, this work translates into an energetic performance where raw, gritty tracks sit alongside more melodic songs, consolidating Hard GZ’s place in a Spanish rap landscape marked by independence and self-production.
