Gutalax

Formed in 2009 in Křemže, South Bohemia, Gutalax is part of the Czech goregrind scene, combining extreme grindcore, touches of death metal and grotesque imagery centered on deliberately scatological humor. Emerging from the roots of the band Lunatic, Gutalax developed early on a compact, fast and abrasive sound driven by thick guitars, short rhythms and guttural vocals that are often intentionally hard to decipher. After the demo Telecockies in 2009, Gutalax released their debut album Shit Beast in 2011, followed by Shit Happens in 2015 and Shitpendables in 2021, while circulating music via several splits, notably with Haemorrhage in 2013 and Spasm in 2017. Over the years Gutalax has played regularly across Europe and on extreme metal stages, appearing at Obscene Extreme and Brutal Assault, and touring Mexico and Latin America. The band’s dynamic rests on a direct, stage-oriented formula, where Gutalax’s outré aesthetics accompany a deliberately upfront and festive goregrind.
