Jack & Jack

Having met in Omaha, Nebraska, Jack Gilinsky and Jack Johnson launched Jack & Jack in the early 2010s, first on Vine and YouTube, where their videos brought the project to light before the American duo refocused on music. Jack & Jack developed a pop sound dominated by hip‑hop, with R&B inflections, melodic choruses and songwriting built around the alternation of their two voices. After an initial phase marked by singles released online, Jack & Jack issued the EP Calibraska in 2015, then shifted toward a more direct pop approach, still supported by supple rhythms and contemporary productions. Their trajectory also includes collaborations in the electronic pop field, notably with Jonas Blue, which further broadened their audience and their presence on international stages and at festivals. In 2019 Jack & Jack released the album A Good Friend Is Nice, a logical extension of a repertoire situated between pop, light rap and R&B, in an accessible format structured around the duo and their vocal harmonies.
