Holy Holy

The Australian duo fronted by Timothy Carroll and Oscar Dawson, Holy Holy took shape in the early 2010s through a long-distance collaboration between Australia and Europe, before establishing itself on the Australian indie scene. Holy Holy initially developed a melodic alternative rock with expansive guitars, threaded with touches of folk rock, psychedelia and country rock, then evolved its songwriting toward more synthetic textures where new wave, disco and a restrained electronic pop take greater prominence without abandoning the project's rock foundation. After the EP The Pacific in 2014, Holy Holy released When the Storms Would Come (2015), Paint (2017), My Own Pool of Light (2019), Hello My Beautiful World (2021) and Cellophane (2023). The band's trajectory has been built between studio work and touring with an expanded live lineup, centered on the complementarity between Carroll's lyrics and Dawson's production. From record to record, Holy Holy maintain direct songwriting, flexible choruses and a taste for contrasts between rock energy, danceable rhythms and more nocturnal atmospheres.
