Boo Seeka

Formed in Sydney in 2015, Boo Seeka began as a group project before the name became the stage moniker of Australian singer-songwriter Ben Gumbleton. Boo Seeka’s trajectory sits between electropop, indie pop and electronic music, with tracks built around supple rhythms, melodic vocal lines and production that leans toward soul and alternative hues. Early milestones arrived in 2015 with the single "Kingdom Leader" and a cover of MØ’s "Pilgrim" for the Like a Version series; Boo Seeka then developed that format onstage in Australia and across the triple j circuit. The debut album, Never Too Soon, was released in 2017. After an initial period with Sam Croft and a reconfiguration with Michael May, Boo Seeka became definitively a solo project in 2021 centered on Ben Gumbleton. That evolution continued with Between the Head & the Heart in 2022, where the songwriting retains an electronic foundation while allowing more space for introspective, fluid pop. Boo Seeka also appears alongside Hayden James on "Free" in 2022.
