Edis

Born in London and raised in Izmir, Edis Görgülü established himself in Turkish pop in the mid-2010s with a repertoire focused on dance and contemporary pop, driven by direct melodies, club rhythms, and a writing style that borrows as much from Western pop as from the inflections of the Turkish scene. Before fully dedicating himself to music, Edis appeared on television as an actor in the series Dinle Sevgili and Hayatımın Rolü, then began his musical trajectory with the single Benim Ol in 2014. This first phase continued with Olmamış mı? in 2015, Dudak in 2016 and Çok Çok in 2017, which established a style calibrated for the mainstream pop stage, between catchy choruses, danceable production, and a flexible vocal presence. In 2018, Edis released his first album, Ân, which includes notably Roman, and in the following years broadened his range with titles such as Perişanım, Martılar, Yalancı, Bana Mı?, Azar Azar or Mayhoş. Edis has also multiplied collaborations, notably with Emina on Güzelliğine, with Gülşen on Nirvana and then Sor, as well as with Anıl Piyancı and Ekin Beril on Kâinat. Accustomed to large pop stages in Turkey, Edis develops an aesthetic where singing, dancing and rhythm-driven pop remain at the center of his identity.
