Buray

Born in Nicosia in 1984, Buray is a Turkish-Cypriot singer and songwriter based in Turkey, active on the Turkish pop scene since the mid-2010s. He came to attention with the 2015 album «1 Şişe Aşk», supported by singles that quickly established him on radio and digital platforms. His work centers on melodic pop that blends romantic ballads, catchy choruses and arrangements drawing on Turkish popular music, pop rock and light electronic touches. Frequently working with lyricist Gözde Ançel, Buray builds a repertoire focused on emotional relationships, making pronounced use of contemporary Turkish and everyday spoken turns of phrase. Across several studio albums and numerous singles, he has developed an aesthetic where guitars, mid-tempo rhythms and more dance-oriented atmospheres coexist, enabling him to perform both on large concert stages and in more intimate settings. Active on social media and prominent live, Buray is firmly situated within the new generation of pop emerging from Northern Cyprus and Istanbul.
