Demon Hunter

Founded in Seattle in 2000 by brothers Ryan and Don Clark, Demon Hunter has built itself at the crossroads of metalcore, alternative metal, and groove metal, with an identity tied to the American Christian metal scene. Initially conceived as a studio project in the wake of Training for Utopia, the band took shape with the 2002 album Demon Hunter, then broadened its audience with Summer of Darkness in 2004 and The Triptych in 2005. Centered around the voice of Ryan Clark, Demon Hunter alternates massive riffs, melodic choruses, and more abrasive passages, maintaining a balance between hardcore tension, heavy metal structures, and more accessible accents. Over the years, the band stabilizes its lineup around Ryan Clark, Jon Dunn, Timothy Watts, Patrick Judge, and Jeremiah Scott, while touring with outfits like Extol, The Agony Scene, As I Lay Dying, or In Flames. Its discography shows a continuity marked by Storm the Gates of Hell (2007), The World Is a Thorn (2010), True Defiance (2012), Extremist (2014), Outlive (2017), the diptych War and Peace (2019), Songs of Death and Resurrection (2021), a collection of acoustic re-interpretations, then Exile (2022). Demon Hunter subsequently continued its activity with several singles released in 2023 and 2024.
