D-Sturb
Born in Utrecht in 1995, D-Sturb, real name Jorrit Popkema, first trained in music on the violin and later the guitar before turning to electronic production as a teenager. After attending the Herman Brood Academie in Utrecht, he released his first tracks in 2012, including 'System Overload', and developed his sound between hardstyle and raw hardstyle with compositions that are simultaneously melodic, tense and direct. After several releases on Dancetraxx Records, D-Sturb joined Gearbox Digital in 2015 and End Of Line Recordings in 2016, moves that helped establish him on the Dutch hard dance scene. At the same time he formed the big-room project Pitchback with Ralph Niemeyer, which he left in 2017 to concentrate on his hardstyle identity. His discography includes the album 'Synchronised' with Warface (2019), 'Welcome To My Playground' (2023) and 'Through My Veins' (2024). He has also collaborated with Warface, Radical Redemption, Ran-D, D-Block & S-te-Fan and Vertile, and performed at events such as Defqon.1, Qlimax, Intents Festival and Supremacy.
