Radical Redemption
Active on the Dutch hard dance scene since the early 2010s, Radical Redemption is the project of DJ and producer Joey van Ingen from Denekamp in the Netherlands. Originally a drummer, he soon turned to producing hardstyle and later raw hardstyle, characterized by massive kicks, dark atmospheres and highly rhythmic structures that often flirt with hardcore. He first gained attention on the Minus Is More label before following up with a steady stream of releases and developing an aesthetic centered on warlike and apocalyptic themes. The albums “Annihilate” (2012), “The Spell of Sin” (2013), “The One Man Army” (2015), “The Road to Redemption” (2017) and “Command & Conquer” (2019) form a discography that alternates solo tracks with collaborations largely drawn from the Dutch hardstyle scene. Radical Redemption performs mainly at festivals and major hardstyle and hardcore events, adapting his sets to dancefloor-oriented formats while retaining a direct, abrasive sonic identity.
