Vertile
Behind Vertile stands Mees van den Berg, a Dutch producer active in the hard dance scene since the late 2010s. Based in the Netherlands, Vertile has developed in hardstyle with an approach that blends striking melodic lines, sung vocals, and upfront production at the junction of an emotional register and a more abrasive energy. His identity has been established through singles released on hardstyle and rawstyle circuits, where he combines his own vocal parts with structures designed for large festival stages. Vertile progressively gained visibility in the early 2020s by appearing at central events in the Dutch and European hard dance scene, with notable appearances in the Defqon.1 or Qlimax universes. His music rests on a clear contrast between bright melodies, dramatic breaks, and massive kicks, while maintaining a fairly personal writing in the choruses and textures. Among the titles that circulated widely in the milieu are Change This Place and Together We Grow, which well illustrate this way of letting singing, tension and rhythmic impact dialogue. Vertile thus sits in a generation of hardstyle producers for whom composition, voice and sonic storytelling occupy as important a place as the dancefloor's effectiveness.
