Agnes Nunes

Born in Feira de Santana in the state of Bahia, Brazil, and raised between Jericó and Campina Grande in Paraíba before settling in Rio de Janeiro, Agnes Nunes develops a writing rooted in contemporary Brazilian song, at the crossroads of MPB, soul, R&B and acoustic pop. As a teenager, Agnes Nunes begins to attract attention by posting covers online, exposure that accompanies her early original songs. Her supple voice and direct approach to melody take shape in the early 2020s, in a repertoire where arrangements are often sober and centered on singing. In 2020, Agnes Nunes appears alongside Elza Soares and Seu Jorge at an online live performance and participates in the track 'Escorpião' on Xamã's Zodíaco album. Her first album, 'Menina Mulher', is released in 2022 and lays the foundations of a universe made of intimate song, light Brazilian rhythms and inflections from R&B. The same year, Agnes Nunes records a new version of 'Preciso Me Encontrar' for the Medida Provisória film, collaborates with Ivete Sangalo on 'Tudo Vai Dar Certo' and concurrently pursues acting for series streamed on platforms. In 2023, Agnes Nunes further expands her live circuit with a European tour that passes through Portugal, Spain, Germany and England.
