dOP

Launched in France in 2006 by childhood friends Damien Vandesande, Clément Aichelbaum and Jonathan Illel, dOP initially grew out of a mix of influences ranging from hip‑hop to rock before settling on club‑oriented electronic house. The project took shape through a series of singles and EPs released on Circus Company as well as on Milnor Modern, Eklo, Supplement Facts, Orac and Watergate, which quickly established dOP within the house circuit of the late 2000s and early 2010s. Their first album, Greatest Hits, was released in 2010 on Circus Company. Over the course of their career they also recorded several one‑off collaborations, notably with Varoslav, Martyn, Seuil and Masomenos. Long developed as a trio, dOP later continued around Damien Vandesande and Jonathan Illel. dOP’s style remains tied to a fluid, club‑focused electronic house, worked through a live approach that has defined their stage identity.
