Flansie

Having attended the Volver Sound Academy, where he trained in sound engineering, Flansie has built a career that sits between production and performance, with family roots in ska and reggae that early on shaped his sense of rhythm. He first circulated his work in rap- and production-related contexts, earning credits alongside Lucki, Trippie Redd and Yeat, before more decisively refocusing his artistic project on club music. Since 2023, Flansie has steered his repertoire toward techno, house and ghetto house, in an approach that blends the direct impact of Detroit techno with textures drawn from soul, funk, jazz and hip-hop. His aesthetic remains dry, melodic and deliberately raw, designed for the dancefloor without sacrificing production detail. Tracks made with Mall Grab — including You, Drift, No One Else Will and Long Story Short — place Flansie within an international club scene attentive to the intersections of contemporary house and techno heritage. After dates across Europe, Australia and Japan in 2023 and 2024, Flansie continues a path split between studio work and DJ sets.
