DJ Bone
Rooted in Detroit's electronic scene in the United States, DJ Bone first established himself in the 1990s as a DJ emerging from the local club and party network before releasing his own productions. Behind the name DJ Bone is producer and selector Eric Dulan, whose activity unfolded between Detroit and, later, Amsterdam, where he settled and stepped up his European touring. His work is grounded in Detroit techno, with a marked taste for fast, highly rhythmic sets that weave together the city's classics, contemporary techno and touches of house, while retaining a deeply dancefloor‑oriented dimension. In the studio, DJ Bone develops a sound combining robust basslines, sharp percussion and futuristic atmospheres, often released on his label Subject Detroit, launched in the late 1990s and serving as his main platform for maxis and personal projects. Alongside releases under the DJ Bone name, Eric Dulan explores more electro and experimental textures under the alias Differ‑Ent, broadening his aesthetic range without severing ties to Detroit's legacy. Present on many stages in Europe and beyond, DJ Bone remains primarily associated with a club format, oriented toward long, narrative mixes rather than a purely live approach.
