Capo Plaza

Born in Salerno, Campania in 1998 as Luca D’Orso, Capo Plaza is part of the Italian trap wave that emerged in the mid-2010s. His rap is marked by tight flows, melodic hooks and a direct writing style tied to street codes, social mobility and the pressures of exposure. Active from a very young age, he began circulating online as a teenager before establishing himself on the Italian rap scene with a series of tracks that positioned him along the new axis between southern Italy and Milan. His debut album, 20, was released in 2018 and set out a formula combining nervous trap, dark tones and more sung vocal lines; Plaza followed in 2021, broadening that continuity as Capo Plaza refined a range between introspection, urban tension and formats more open to collaborations. Over his career he has crossed paths with several figures of Italian and European rap, while maintaining an identity defined by compact phrasing, cold or atmospheric productions and a way of making immediacy in his tracks coexist with personal narrative.
