Svart Ridå

Formed in Ronneby in southern Sweden and later relocated to Malmö, Svart Ridå comprises Moa Swanström on guitar, Tuva Gustavsson on vocals and bass, and Kajsa Westergren on drums. As a trio, Svart Ridå develops alternative rock sung in Swedish—tense and melodic—driven by incisive guitars, a direct rhythm section and a vocal register that keeps a sense of urgency without sacrificing clarity of lines. The band made their recording debut with the EP 18 minuter av ditt liv in 2022, before releasing the album Svart Ridå in 2023 and Aponia in 2025. Since that initial release phase, Svart Ridå has played concerts across Sweden, notably alongside Junior Brielle, The Soundtrack of Our Lives and Glasvegas, and in spring 2025 took part in a nationwide tour with Markus Krunegård. Between the contemporary Swedish rock scene, live energy and concise songwriting, Svart Ridå has built a rapid but coherent trajectory at the crossroads of a raw sound, understated pop sensibility and a tightened song format.
