Bo Evers
Active since the mid-2010s in Denmark, Bo Evers develops a Danish-language singer-songwriter register where folk rock, acoustic pop, and sober melodic writing intersect. A singer, composer and guitarist, Bo Evers initially appears as the frontman of the band Modspil, with whom he participated in the album Forhold baghold in 2013, before beginning a solo career in 2014 with the track « Fred ». His personal project is framed in a direct aesthetics, centered on the voice, the guitar and accessible arrangements, with a taste for short formats and songs with a simple narrative arc. In 2016, Bo Evers released the two EPs Stiv and Blød, which extend this line between contemporary folk and Danish pop. His career also has a singular extramusical grounding, as he holds a biology degree from the University of Copenhagen and has worked as a teacher, a context that accompanies a trajectory built in parallel with the music scene. Between band activity and solo repertoire, Bo Evers is part of a Danish scene attentive to songs in local language and to acoustic forms, with a style that prioritizes clarity of interpretation and tightly crafted compositions.
