Smag På Dig Selv

Driven by two saxophones and a drum kit, Smag På Dig Selv has been developing since 2018 a musical language where acoustic techno, punk energy and references to 1990s dance music intersect. Based in Denmark, the trio occupies a hybrid scene that blurs the lines between rock concert, electronic live set and club performance, working with repetitive structures, rhythmic build-ups and a chanted vocal presence. The lyrics, poetically inspired and openly political, give Smag På Dig Selv’s music a militant edge that complements the physical intensity of their pieces. The group has gradually established itself on Denmark’s live stages, focusing on concerts and extended formats designed for performance. This stage-oriented approach was recognized with a Danish Music Award in the category New Live Act of the Year in 2024, marking an important step for Smag På Dig Selv and confirming the project’s place in the contemporary Danish music scene.
