Dopha

Active on the Danish pop scene, Dopha is developing a project focused on personal songwriting with indie-pop overtones. Behind the name Dopha is singer-songwriter Sofie Daugaard Andersen from Denmark, who attracted attention in the late 2010s with a series of singles rooted in melodic pop with alternative inflections. Dopha’s music blends classic pop structures, understated guitars and electronic textures, with direct vocals and often introspective lyrics about relationships, identity and coming of age. After several tracks released on the national scene, Dopha issued the album The Game in 2021, which established a universe between luminous ballads and more rhythm-driven songs. Continuing in that vein, the 2024 album Small On Purpose deepens an alt-pop approach in which catchy choruses coexist with darker atmospheres. On stage, Dopha performs with a pop‑rock oriented band, appearing at venues and festivals in Denmark and neighboring countries, and collaborates with Nordic producers to refine a sound that links international pop culture with Scandinavian sensibility.
