Jacek Stachursky

Born in Czechowice-Dziedzice, in the southern part of Poland, Jacek Stachursky, who performs under the name Stachursky, has since the mid-1990s developed a repertoire spanning pop, dance, eurodance and Polish varieties, with a shift more toward club music and disco polo from the 2010s onward. After beginning in the 1980s as the singer of the rock group Eve, later Eve Boys, he first gained fame as a solo artist with the track 'Taki jestem' in 1994, then released several studio albums, among them Taki jestem (1994), 1996 (1995), Urodziłem się aby grać (1997), 1999 (1998), 1 (2000), Finał (2002), Trwam (2005), 2009 (2009), Boski plan (2012), 2K19 (2019) and 2022 (2022). Stachursky's career shows an evolution from pop-rock and dance music toward a more electronic formula, based on direct choruses, festive rhythms, and a club-oriented production. He also recorded the theme song for the TV series Samo življenje in 2002. In his more recent period, Stachursky has collaborated with producer BBX on tracks such as 'Kieliszki' and 'Essa', and has continued to move between dance scenes, mainstream festivals, and events related to disco polo.
