The Jins

Formed in Vancouver, British Columbia, by three roommates, The Jins bring together Ben Larsen on vocals and guitar, Hudson Partridge on bass and Jamie Warnock on drums and backing vocals. The Canadian trio play alternative rock that intersects grunge, punk, metal and garage, delivering short, taut and melodic songs built around thick guitars and a dry rhythmic backbone. Born in a domestic setting and quickly moving to the stage, The Jins belong to a lineage shaped by 1990s rock without limiting themselves to pastiche, favoring direct songwriting and compact formats. Their path led to a deal with 604 Records, which helped broaden the reach of their music. On record and in concert, The Jins maintain a balance between abrasion, memorable choruses and forward energy, with a compact aesthetic where grunge grain coexists with punk urgency and a tension bordering on metal.
