Bakian

An artist from the Côte d’Azur, Bakian develops a repertoire that sits between French chanson and pop, in a melodic aesthetic where the text remains central. His career is partly shaped by a close relationship with Charles Aznavour, who wrote several songs for him and accompanied him during the final years of his life. This aspect is clearly visible in the stage project 'Bakian chante Aznavour', a national tour produced by Seiya Records, as well as in his rendition of 'Désormais', treated in a personal and contemporary register rather than as a heritage piece.
